Did you know that rebar is a valuable tool for sculptors? I never knew that until a few weeks ago, when I was contacted by an old friend of mine.

I wanted to go to college for buil;ding construction, and she wanted to study the arts and become a sculptor. Young love just isn’t meant to last sometimes, you know? Anyway, fifteen years later Connie reached out to me over Facebook to ask me for a favor. She needed some rebar rods and wire ties, and didn’t know where to find them for a good price. I was curious as to why she needed several thousand dollars worth of double loop wire ties, forming wire, and rebar rods. She asked to meet with me and explain why she needed these things. I was eager to see her again, and used the rebar purchase as a reason to see her and see if there was still a spark between us. It turned out that there was no spark, Connie was married, and to a woman no less, but it was still nice to see her. She needed rebar rods to build the framework for her massive sculpture, and enough forming wire to envelope the whole thing several times over. Basically she wanted my help to order all the supplies, because she thought I could get rebar rods and forming wire for a discount because of my contractor business.
