It turns out that rebar is more useful than I ever thought.
It had never really come up before, because it’s not like there are big piles of rebar laying around for people to use.
It is a specialty product used mostly in construction and for laying cement… or so I thought. I was lucky enough to find a treasure trove of old rebar which I brought back to my house. At first I didn’t know what I could use it for, but just months later I am worrying about running out of it! The best thing about the rebar rods is that they are basically impervious to the wind and rain. As old as this stuff is, it is as strong and resilient as ever! I don’t mean just the rods and the wire ties, either, there is a whole selection of various wires that all have their own unique properties and uses. I have used lashing wire, merchant wire, and rodbuster wire, and the best part is that all of it is 100% made in the USA. Part of my motto of “building strong” is using the finest rebar rods and wire ties, but also making sure they are American made, because I also want to build a stronger America. We used to build things in this country and now it seems we just want to sell them. Well, not me! I support American made products like rebar rods and double loop wire ties, and will only ever buy my building supplies from American owned and operated businesses.
