Helen and I met in building construction school.
It was an intense and rigorous program intended to produce the next great class of architects and builders.
Helen was much more driven and focused than I was … especially after I fell in love with her. Eventually we parted ways, and I can’t say that it was mutual. She told me I was getting in the way of her education, and she was not pleased with my growing interest in sculpting. Helen didn’t have an appreciation for the arts, she was focused entirely on her career and her future income. It was for the best we broke up, I see that now. At the same time, I do need Helen to help me, because she is a certified contractor with access to mass quantities of rebar rods and wire ties, which is exactly what I need for my new project. Moreover, Helen has hands-on experience working with forming wire and bar ties, the kind of experience I just don’t have! She has already gotten all the supplies I need, so I have access to forming wire, double loop bar ties, and American made rebar rods. Now I need her know-how to take me to the next level. Just to be clear, this is not about trying to win Helen back, this is just about the rebar and wire ties, I swear! But if in the process of manipulating all these rebar rods, and unspooling all the forming wire romance happens, then I would be open to it! Let’s see what happens.
