PVC forming wire is how you re-build America

I was at an auction a couple of months ago.

I estimate on an old wire form that was used by seamstresses in the early 1900s.

The wire form was still perfectly in tact, and I wondered if it would have been better if they had it coated in PVC. The wire form looked prefer it was made of coat hangers, but even that would not work. The wire had to be pliable to get into such a perfect shape. The bottom had the flare that would come from a woman’s hips. The bustline was perfectly shaped. The only get together that had myself and others wondering, was the waistline. It was so small, that even our kid coudln’t have gotten into that dress. I measured it and the measurements would have been 36-15-35. I’m sure the wires were smooth when they first made the seamstress dress form, but it was not corroded. Had it been made with PVC forming wire, there would have been no problem, and it would honestly still be in perfect condition. I suddenly realized how much odd PVC coating, or plastic coating made, when it came to forming wire. Even if the wire were to rub together, the PVC or plastic coating would stop them from doing any disfigure. I asked our partner if she could make a seamstress dummy for me, by using PVC forming wire. Being the smart aleck she was, she said she didn’t guess they made that much PVC forming wire, then she ducked when I threw a pillow at him. It hit the tv and almost knocked it over, but it was her fault.
