I married my high school sweetheart when we were just eighteen years old.
- My husband joined the military, and we shipped out the day after our wedding.
We have lived in exciting locations all over the world. For quite a few years, we had no choice but to rent apartments or houses. Moving around with two little kids was difficult. We were excited and relieved to finally find our way back to the United States. We were especially delighted to be offered a post down south. Our kids were delighted by the warm temperatures, sunshine and proximity to the beach. It appeared as if this would be our final destination, and so we purchased a home. We lived in the house for a little over two years. We made some improvements and really settled in. Unfortunately, due to factors beyond our control, my husband was called back into overseas duty. We had no choice but to pack up and head out very quickly. Fortunately,I am very skilled at packing our belongings. I have always been careful not to accumulate unnecessary items. The biggest concern was the sale of the house. We wanted to get that taken care of before we relocated. Trying to handle a sale from another country sounded like a nightmare. There simply wasn’t time to sell the house via a traditional route. We couldn’t deal with showings, negotiations, repairs and delays. We needed the sale to go through quickly and smoothly. For that to happen, we chose a cash home buyer. We got an offer on the house the same day we submitted the contact form. Once we accepted, the closing was completed in less than two weeks.
